www.Southernvoices.nl is a new site where an open online-discussion will be held on "Biotechnology and food from a southern perspective". The discussion aims to bring the opinions of stakeholders from developing countries on the topic of genetechnology and food to the fore. The e-event will take place from 31 October 2001 until 13 November 2001 and is open to everybody interested. It takes place within the broader framework of a Dutch government sponsored public debate about genetically modified food. It is hosted by The Biotechnology and Development Monitor and The Network University.
